The daily Briefing

During every single trading session, Sam Weiss publishes his LIVE daily blog covering the short, intermediate and long-term direction of the stock market along with technical analysis on the most widely traded tech names on the NASDAQ-100. Subscribes can ask questions and post comments to every Daily Briefing and engage in daily discussions with Sam and the rest of the subscriber base.

Sam will promptly answer most of your questions. The comment section has its own email notification system that allows subscribers to get notified when Sam responds to their comment (or anyone else’s comment).

The Daily Breifing is the central gathering hub for all members. It represents the heart and soul of the Sam Weiss newsletter. Most of the value in having a membership to our site is found in the Daily Briefing. Most subscribes would agree. If you’re new here, you should visit the daily briefing each and every day. If the stock market is currently open, that’s where you should be right now.

Samwise Model Portfolios

Sam Weiss currently operates EIGHT (8) different Model Portfolios for the Sam Weiss Newsletter. I know it sounds overwhelming, but it’s not all that complicated. In reality, there are just TWO different strategies and the portfolios are all essentially the same thing. Here’s how it works.

New subscriber join at different times throughout the year. A portfolio that might have relevance to one member who signed up in September might not really have any relevance to a new subscriber who signs up in January.

So in order to make the newsletter equally relevant to all members regardless of when they join, Sam Weiss launches a brand new portfolio every time the NASDAQ-100 sustains a standard 7-12% correction.

In fact, the portfolios are launched in pairs of two (2) and share identical strategies. One portfolio is a common-stock portfolio and the other is an options portfolio.

Sam also operates two different trading portfolios. If you’re first getting here and seeing trades being sent out, it’s important to understand they’re not just random trades. Each trade is carefully calculated and applies to one specific portfolio or another. You should carefully read the Model Portfolio broad overview page to get a better understanding of how it all works.

The Samwise Strategy

The first thing to read after going through the Dashboard and Full Guide would be the Samwise Strategy. The Samwise Strategy gives a nice broad tl;dr type overview of our general thought process and investment strategy. It is a summary of the sailant points outlined in the Investing Basics section of the website.

It explains why we make the trades we make, our hard & fast rules, our risk management style and the types of assets we like to trade and invest in.

The Samwise Strategy section of the website is an incredibly important tool to understanding why we do the things we do.

Investing Basics

Investing Basics takes the material published in the Samwise Strategy and goes into great detail on the various principles, axioms and theories that underly our general approach to the market.

The Samwise Strategy section of the website can be viewed as a broad overview of Investing Basics. It answers the why of things.

But in no way should the Samwise Strategy be a substitute for reading Investing Basics.

Investing Basics covers topics of ranging from time horizon and inherent leverage to risk management and market psychology.

The Current Outlook

Sam Weiss publishes an updated Current Outlook on all of the assets we’re holding in our Samwise Portfolio and/or are analyzing in our daily briefing.

That outlook is a firm forecast and expectation for the near, intermediate and long-term time-frame. We post a lot of content in our daily briefing, outline various risk factors that might derail our thesis or market direction and it’s easy to lose sight of our overall conclusion.

The Current Outlook contains our firm short, intermediate and long-term expectation for the market. We included it to be clear on where we stand as of the timestamp published in the outlook.

Investment advice

Sam Weiss is a financial publication that offers insights, analysis and market related forecasts. Sam Weiss is NOT an investment advisor, and thus does not offer individual investment advice to any of its members.

To be honest, even if we were an advisory firm, it would be highly irresponsible for us to provide individual tailored investment advice without fully understanding each subscriber’s entire financial situation.

Each person has radically different goals, life necessities and risk tolerances. One investment strategy that may be appropriate for one type of investor may be wholly inappropriate for an entirely different class. There is no “one size” fits all type of advice that can be given to anyone.

That doesn’t mean we can’t offer our insights on a broad range of topics. You just have to be carefully when framing your questions. See more below.

Investment Insights

General investment insights, unlike individually tailored advice, is what we do here at Sam Weiss. We offer our insights on the rules of disciplined investing in the Samwise Strategy, insights into the direction of the broad market through our Daily Briefing, insights on fundamental and technical analysis in Investing Basics, insights on various investment strategies and how to execute those strategies effectively through the Samwise Model Portfolios

It is up to each individual subscriber of Sam Weiss to use those insights in a way that is responsible and tailored to their own particular situation. It’s highly recommended that everyone seek council with their own registered financial advisors before implementing any of the insights, strategies and forecasts made here at Sam Weiss.

To get the most out of your questions for Sam, you just need to make sure you frame your question in a way that is generally applicable to all subscribers. Even though you might have a personal question about your specific investments, when framed appropriate, you can receive an effective answer within the confines of the rules. But not to worry. Sam will often reframe your question for you in a way that allows him to answer.
