There is definitely a cost (commission) but it’s never like $1 per contract. Also, commission is shown separately (not on the option price screen). Maybe Sam has a different/better broker that can do this.

Agreed. I use Robinhood (I know people hate it) but I have had no issues getting fills for the same price as Sam.

You’re looking at the Alphabet Class C, check call options for the class A, and it should be closer to 10.55$
I got in on this contract at the same price and previous contracts have been at the same price or below as well.
