Right now the bid side is at $0.90 and the ask is at $1.10. It’s a mid-side order. I think we just got lucky on the fill. But it’s a very minor difference.
From a cost standpoint, the difference is $50.00 for Targaryen. So filling at $1.00 or $1.10 is the difference of paying $500 on 5 contracts or $550 on 5 contracts.
It’s minor for the Targaryen Portfolio. Percentage wise, it’s significant at a 10% difference. We normally do’t buy at the ask ever. Normally we try to fill at the mid or just past the mid-point execution wise. So that would be $1.00 or $1.05 with the $0.90 to $1.10 spread.
Unable to do spreads, I picked up 2 NVDA April 115’s. Thanks for the addendum. Please keep this in mind, when you update the spread in the future. Thanks
Which type of account were you trading on?
Is this an american 401k or a Canadian registered account? If so, those won’t allow shorting stocks or options.
Basic Schwab USA Brokerage account. I asked for spread level trading. They asked me to explain pin risk. I explained how to cover a 7-10 split. They didn’t find bowling humor funny. I was declined.
Noice. Is there an acceptable range for this trade or just 1.00? It’s currently 1.10
Filled at 1.03 can’t complain
